Mateo Aceves is a Principal and Senior Counsel at Generate Capital. He is responsible for originating, structuring and executing sustainable infrastructure transactions within Generate’s private credit strategy. At Generate, Mateo has completed over $3 billion in diverse credit transactions. Prior to joining Generate in 2021, Mateo practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, focusing his practice on energy and infrastructure transactions. In that capacity, he advised on over 50 transactions including financings, acquisitions and dispositions in the LNG, conventional power, waste-to-value, social infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Mateo holds a BA from Brandeis University and JD from the University of Chicago. He is based in Generate’s San Francisco headquarters.
