Investment Risk Associate
We are looking for an Investment Risk Associate to support our Chief Investment Officer. They will be responsible for driving the analytics that inform the creation of a well-balanced, risk mitigated, high performing, portfolio of assets. This position is ideal for someone interested in investments and risk management with a view towards long term performance of illiquid assets.
You are analytical and detail-oriented, passionate about the type of work Generate is doing, and looking to apply your experience to help scale a growing business and drive critical internal process efficiencies.
If you have the below experience and capabilities, we’d love to hear from you:
- 4+ years experience in an energy-related field (renewables preferred)
- Experience with FP&A, planning and forecasting for yield oriented assets (traditional energy, renewable energy, real estate)
- Experience with project investing, corporate investing or lending (investment banking, principal investing or lending experience)
- Familiarity with corporate finance, valuation and financial metrics
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with Business Intelligence software
- Highly analytical and detailed-oriented
- Excellent organizational and self-management capability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to rapidly learn new concepts with minimal formal instruction
- High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
- Intellectual agility and curiosity, superb analytical skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit: flexibility, comfort with risk, recognition that “perfect can be the enemy of the good
