Meng Lei

She has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry and has been involved in over $500 million of sustainable infrastructure transactions in North America and Europe. At Generate, Meng focuses on renewable natural gas, water, and industrial decarbonization sectors. Prior to joining Generate in 2021, she was an early member of Shell New Energies in Europe, where she led its solar market entry in Italy and scaled a 300 MW renewable power portfolio. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and an MS from the University of Groningen and Uppsala University, and is a CFA charterholder. She is based in Generate’s San Francisco headquarters.
