His work focuses on helping organizations move beyond high-level commitments to measurable, execution-ready strategies that deliver long-term environmental and financial value. Gopal brings extensive experience in the energy markets, including project acquisition, structured financing, and PPA negotiation. Throughout his career, he has raised more than $500 million to support over 2.5 GW of power projects and shaped pricing and execution strategy for more than 500 MW of contracted capacity. Before joining Generate Capital, Gopal served as Managing Director at Alturus and previously led the Capital Markets division at Edison Energy. Gopal started his career at JP Morgan, and spent several years in the hedge fund industry prior to transitioning to the infrastructure space. Gopal holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
